Primary Purpose:

            To maintain grounds and facilities as required.

Qualifications:

            Education/Certification:

            Good Driving Record

            Special Knowledge/Skills:

            Knowledge of grounds maintenance.

            Skill and knowledge of grounds, equipment and tools.

            Ability to maintain tools and equipment in a safe operating condition.

            Tractor experience with knowledge of implements and/or attachments.

            Experience:

            None required

Major Responsibilities:

1. Exhibit proper use of care of tools, supplies, and equipment.
2. Load and unload vehicles.
3. Operate trucks and grounds maintenance equipment as required.
4. Cut grass, trim trees, shrubbery, weeds as needed.
5. Aerate, lime, fertilize, and top dresses.
6. Clean out underbrush, cut down trees, and remove trash.
7. Minor greasing and oiling of equipment.
8. Report any loss or damage to equipment immediately.
9. Use all necessary safety precautions to protect self and school children such as shutting off rotary mover at recess, lunch time and whenever children are near and completing other duties such as cleaning and weeding.
10. Water all vegetation as directed.
11. Fertilize and apply pesticides and weed killers as required.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
